Christmas Time

It's beginning to look a lot like christmas! Everywhere I go! I love it!

For thanksgiving weekend my parents, Mandy, Lanis, Bobby, and myself went camping at Hard Labor Creek State Park! It was so nice to relax and spend time with my family! The weather was almost perfect. I say almost because it rained all day Saturday and Sunday. But we didn't let that get us down!

The whole crew eating smores! We are suckers for a good smore!

Our home for the weekend!

Bobby and I decorated for our first christmas together as husband and wife. Our living room isn't big enough for a big tree and we actually are not going to be here on christmas day (we're traveling to savanah to be with bobby's family) so we used a little four foot tree. It it absolutely perfect for our first tree!

Bobby will be the offical tree topper putter oner! :)

Our cute little stockings over the fire place

Yes we have matching pajamas on! This will be our Katzman family tradition. I'm not sure if bobby is too proud of that...but he went right along with it. What a wonderful husband! By the way our shirts say "Is it too late to be nice?"

Our first christmas has been wondeful so far and already filled with many memories! Tonight we are going to try and hang the christmas lights on the outside of the house...that will be an adventure!

My favorite time of year

So I guess I'm going to fit September, October, and November all in one blog. It may be a little lengthy!
Can the weather get any better? Not too cold...Not too hot! I'm loving it! I'm not quite ready for the cold yet, but I know it's coming!

A few things that have happened over the last few months:
We had the whole family over for dinner for mom's birthday. It was my first experience as a host! It was a little difficult fitting all 10 of us in the kitchen...but we got it done. It's was a pretty good dinner if I say so myself! Did I mention Mandy burnt her hair, face, and hand when she opened up the grill! Always an evental occasion with the hill bunch!

October 10 and 11th bobby and I went up to Tennessee for our Alumni weekend. We both got to play in our alumni games (i hit two bombs and bobby pitched like a pro), see our old friends, and take a little break from work! I always forget how beautiful Tennesse is and how much I love the weather there. We had a blast!!

Jennifer, bobby's sister (my sister-in-law), and baby kyler (her son) came down for a visit. We took a trip to the Yellow River Game Ranch on saturday. I believe we were a little more amused by the animals than Kyler was. Between bobby begging to buy carrots and tricking the chipmunk into the eagle cage to get eaten, it was a wonderful trip.

Baby Kyler!

Trav feeding the squirels! They didn't like anything but peanuts...picky!!!

Travis, Mandy, Lanis, Josh, Bobby, and myself are all playing on a flag football team on Saturdays! It's a family event! We are having a BLAST! It's quite an entertaining site!!! I don't think we'll get invited back next year...we're a little too competative...haha Our team is 5-1. 5 wins and 1 loss! Not too bad!

Our latest adventure was camping! Mandy, Lanis, Bobby and myself packed up the car after two flag football games and headed to North Ga. I thought we had already reserved a site at Vogel State park. Mandy forgot to tell me that she hadn't really gotten a reservation and that we would just find something when we got there. Not good for somebody like me who always likes to have a plan!! All the parks we had called were completely full! We stopped by two places and had no luck. By then I was getting a little worried...not to mention is was almost dark! Luckily Amicalolla state park referred us to this little site down the road from them called under the hemlock. It was a fantastic little campground! God sent! We roasted hotdogs and smores, went hiking, and went to a play! It was one of those weekends that will always be a memory! We had a fantabulous time!
Bobby hugged a tree for the Hemlock festival (a festival thats raises money to save the trees)
Hiking down the mountain got a little rough after 2 flag football games and 700 stairs up the mountain!
But is was well worth the view!
We made lanis do all the work! (look at him in the back...haha)

What a blessing to have so many enjoyable moments and to be able to share them! God is GOOD all the time!

Savannah Trip

Well I thought once the wedding and honeymoon were over that life would begin to slow down! I was completely wrong. We haven't even stopped to take a breather, but I'm loving every minute of it! August 29th was bobby's 23rd birthday! Luckily it was labor day weekend, so we took that friday off and headed down to see bobby's family in Richmond Hill, Ga (right outside of savannah). We played some golf, lots of wii (video games), and hung out with the family. I cooked everyone bobby's favorite dish, chicken pastry. I think they liked it or atleast they lied well and said they did! It was a great weekend!

Bobby's little nephew (Kyler) was a blast!! He's getting so big so fast! Also, I beat bobby in golf on his birthday! I'm such a good wife! haha

My best friend from highschool had her baby. His name is Maverick! He's really cute! I mean it too! Newborns are usually ugly...but he's not! He's a screamer though! I love him!

When bobby and I aren't working, we're up at the ball field. He's coaching a 13 year old boys baseball team and playing on a men's league. My life is always at the ball field. I'm not sure if that will ever change!

God continues to bless us everday! We have our health, our jobs, our family, and each other! HE is good!

The Beginning

Hello all! I'm welcoming myself to the world of blogging. Now that Bobby and I are married and living away from a lot of our loved ones, I wanted a way for everyone to be able to get updates from time to time. Isn't technology amazing! The wedding and honeymoon are over. Both were amazing! Thank you so much to all of you who helped! We couldn't have gotten through it without you! St. Lucia was gorgeous! We had an amazing time, but I have to say that we were ready to come home and have some McDonalds!

Bobby and I have been married for almost two months now! So far it's been an amazing experience! We are learning so much about each other (the good and the bad)! Adjusting to one another has, in my opinion, been fairly easy! We are both learning our boundries and when enough is enough!

Our house has been an absolute blessing! We are renting from a lady in our church that has gone to peru for a mission trip! The oppurtunity to rent this house was God sent! We are learning how to do yard work at the time. I found that I do not like to pull weeds! Those things sure do grow fast! Now I know why they use the expression "growing like weeds". My parents have been wonderful in coming to help us work on the yard. My cousin Brad even came and helped!

Our latest event was the Fourth of July! We went swimming and had a cookout with the family...then we ran around our yard with our sparklers (left over from the wedding). It was a blast!!!!!

Well that is all that is going on in our lives at this point! Living, learning, and loving! What else could we ask for!
